DAY 2 – HANOI → HA LONG BAY CRUISE (B,L,D)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 2½-hour journey through the peaceful countryside of the Red River Delta, passing by lush rice paddies and local villages before arriving at Tuan Chau Marina, the gateway to Ha Long Bay — a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its emerald waters and majestic limestone pillars.

Upon arrival, board your Ha Long Cruise and receive a warm welcome from the friendly crew with a refreshing drink and a brief orientation about the cruise itinerary and safety guidelines. DAY 4: HANOI COUNTRYSIDE & DUONG LAM VILLAGE, FLIGHT TO HCM (B,L)

08:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel and depart for Duong Lam Ancient Village, located about 60 km west of central Hanoi. Duong Lam is a purely agricultural village, typical of the Northern Red River Delta, and is renowned for its well-preserved hundred-year-old laterite houses.

Upon arrival, begin a guided walking tour from the village’s main entrance gate—the only ancient village gate in Vietnam that remains intact today. Continue into the village to visit Mong Phu Communal House, located at the heart of Duong Lam. This solemn site is dedicated to Tan Vien Mountain Saint, one of the Four Immortals in Vietnamese folklore, and is a fine example of traditional Northern Vietnamese architecture.

Stroll through narrow alleys, stopping to admire and photograph the unique laterite brick houses that give the village its distinctive character.

Lunch will be served at a local family’s ancient house, offering an authentic village experience.

After lunch, enjoy a short walk or drive to nearby Mia Pagoda, built in the 15th century and home to 287 statues, including famous Buddha sculptures and the Eight Vajra Deities.

Continue to Phung Hung Temple and Ngo Quyen Mausoleum, dedicated to two national heroes who led Vietnam to independence.

On the return journey to Hanoi, stop to visit Tay Phuong Pagoda, known for its beautiful architecture and remarkable wooden sculptures.

Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR & CU CHI TUNNELS (B,L)

08:00 AM – Our guide and private air-conditioned vehicle pick you up at your hotel to begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City.

The morning tour starts with a visit to the city’s iconic landmarks:

  • Notre Dame Cathedral (outside visit), a French colonial masterpiece built in the late 19th century.
  • Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, showcasing classic French architecture blended with Asian influences.
  • Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace of South Vietnam, where you will explore meeting rooms, war command bunkers and historical exhibits marking the end of the Vietnam War.
  • War Remnants Museum, offering powerful insights into Vietnam’s wartime history through photographs, artifacts and preserved military equipment.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant, featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

In the afternoon, depart for Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will watch a short introductory documentary explaining how the tunnel system was built and how it functioned during the war.

Then, spend approximately one hour exploring the extensive underground maze, including living quarters, command rooms, kitchens and escape routes. Along the way, you will see various mantraps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters left by 500-pound bombs dropped by B-52 bombers.

For those interested, there is an optional experience to fire rounds from an AK-47 or MK16 rifle at the nearby shooting range (subject to availability and at your own expense).

After the visit, return to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer back to your hotel.

DAY 6: HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA (BEN TRE) – RETURN TO HCM (B,L)

In the morning, our professional tour guide and private air-conditioned vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for a scenic drive of approximately 2–2.5 hours to Ben Tre Province, located in the heart of the Mekong River Delta. A short refreshment stop will be made along the way.

Upon arrival, board a motorboat to begin cruising through the intricate network of canals and waterways of the Mekong River. Enjoy picturesque views of riverside life while passing by the four famous islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix.

Continue the journey with a visit to a floating fish farm, where local families raise freshwater fish and shrimp in nets beneath their stilt houses—an important source of livelihood and a key export product of the Mekong Delta.

Cross the river to explore a traditional local workshop, observing the step-by-step process of making coconut candy and honey products. Guests are invited to taste these local specialties while enjoying traditional southern folk music, offering an authentic cultural experience.

After lunch, take time to relax before returning by motorboat to My Tho.
