Afternoon – Cyclo Tour (1 Hour):
Begin your Vietnam journey with a leisurely cyclo ride through Hanoi’s historic Old Quarter, also known as the “36 Streets.” Once the city’s bustling commercial hub, each street was traditionally dedicated to a specific trade — reflected in names such as Silk Street, Silver Street, and Fish Street. Along these narrow, vibrant lanes, you will discover ancient houses, traditional temples, and colorful souvenir shops that showcase the charm of old Hanoi.

08:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel to begin a full-day exploration of Hanoi and its surrounding countryside.
Start with a scenic drive to West Lake to visit Quan Thanh Taoist Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda, two of the most ancient and beautiful religious sites in Hanoi, offering peaceful views and historical significance.
Continue to the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty and dedicated to Confucius and scholars. Known as Vietnam’s first National University, this historic complex symbolizes the country’s long-standing respect for education and intellectual achievement.
11:00 AM: Depart for Duong Lam Ancient Village, located approximately 60 km west of Hanoi. This well-preserved agricultural village in the Red River Delta is famous for its centuries-old laterite brick houses and traditional rural lifestyle.
Upon arrival, begin a walking tour from the original village gate — the only intact ancient village entrance of its kind in Vietnam. Visit Mong Phu Communal House, located at the heart of the village, where Tan Vien Mountain Saint — one of Vietnam’s Four Immortals — is worshipped. The communal house is considered a fine example of traditional Northern Vietnamese architecture.
Lunch will be served at a local family’s ancient house, offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
In the afternoon, continue walking through narrow alleyways lined with historic laterite houses. You may also enjoy a short bicycle ride to Mia Pagoda, built in the 15th century and home to nearly 300 statues, including notable sculptures of Buddha and the Eight Vajra Deities.
Visit Phung Hung Temple and Ngo Quyen Mausoleum, dedicated to two national heroes who defended Vietnam’s independence.
Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Transfer to train station for night train to Sapa.

Arrive at Lao Cai Railway Station around 06:00. Meet your local guide and transfer to Sapa (a journey of just over one hour). Upon arrival, leave your luggage at the hotel, freshen up and enjoy breakfast.
Note: A quick shower can be arranged upon request. Hotel check-in time is from 14:00; early check-in is not included and is subject to hotel policy and availability.
After breakfast, depart Sapa town by private car to begin the main sightseeing programme. Start with a visit to Cat Cat Village, home to the Black Hmong ethnic group. Enjoy an easy walk through scenic rice terraces, traditional wooden houses, craft workshops and the beautiful Cat Cat waterfall, while learning about the daily life and culture of the local community.
After the village tour, return to Sapa town for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, transfer to Cable Car Station and take a 20-minute cable car ride to admire the stunning panorama. At 2,800 metres, enjoy the views, visit the spiritual pagoda complex and trek approximately 600 steps to reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina. Spend around 1.5 hours exploring and taking photos.
Return by cable car and transfer back to Sapa town. Dinner is at your own arrangement, followed by free time to explore Sapa at night.

Today, embark on a cultural and scenic journey through the breathtaking Muong Hoa Valley, visiting the ethnic minority villages of Lao Chai (Black Hmong) and Ta Van (Giay people).
A private vehicle will transfer you to Lao Chai Village, where you will begin an easy and picturesque trek through spectacular terraced rice fields, traditional Black Hmong houses, suspension bridges, and authentic water mills. Upon arrival, board your Ha Long Cruise and receive a warm welcome from the friendly crew with a refreshing drink and a brief orientation about the cruise itinerary and safety guidelines. Later, meet your guide for a half-day walking tour of Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once one of Southeast Asia’s busiest trading ports, Hoi An attracted merchants from China, Japan, and Europe, whose influences are still reflected in the town’s beautifully preserved architecture. Often described as a “hidden charm,” the ancient town offers a unique blend of cultural heritage and timeless beauty.
Visit the historic Tan Ky Old House, the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, and the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall (Fujian Pagoda) before returning to your hotel.

The morning tour starts with a visit to the city’s iconic landmarks:
- Notre Dame Cathedral (outside visit), a French colonial masterpiece built in the late 19th century.
- Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, showcasing classic French architecture blended with Asian influences.
- Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace of South Vietnam, where you will explore meeting rooms, war command bunkers and historical exhibits marking the end of the Vietnam War.

Then, spend approximately one hour exploring the extensive underground maze, including living quarters, command rooms, kitchens and escape routes. Along the way, you will see various mantraps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters left by 500-pound bombs dropped by B-52 bombers.
For those interested, there is an optional experience to fire rounds from an AK-47 or MK16 rifle at the nearby shooting range (subject to availability and at your own expense).
After the visit, return to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer back to your hotel.
